Freedom Across Australia commenced in 1988 to provide an avenue for adults with disability to enhance their quality of life in long distance touring.

In 2004 it became an activity of the Auburn Lidcombe Lions Club.

The activity is a voluntary and not for profit. Volunteers who have an understanding of the needs and rapport with adults with disability are always welcomed to assist the current team.

What makes a good volunteer? a sense of humour and readiness to accept the other person together with a willingness to become involved in as many aspects of a tour as is possible within their own capability.
