The tours are conducted by volunteers who pay their own share of their costs involved. Each tour is self-funding and the cost is equally divided between all who participate.
The number of tours conducted each year depends on the availability of volunteers. Normally 2 major trips of 14 and 28 day duration are conducted.
The bus used is modified and includes an electric hoist and three lock downs for wheelchairs. The trailer used for luggage and equipment also includes a ‘kitchen’!
Accommodation is provided throughout the tours by local Lions Clubs and varies from halls, schools to motels.
The tours are directed to encouraging adults with disability. For some, a medical clearance may be required.
